Status Updates From Steel Wind Rising

They say that from the big bang to the heat of death of the universe, the period of time for which life is possible is one trillionth of a trillionth of a percent. How many years the tree had taken to grow from seed to sapling to giant so that he could observe a single leaf pirouette on the wind for a few seconds. Is that what all life would seem to God? A falling leaf?
