I'm so lost in this story. I feel like I missed a few chapters somewhere. I've been listening to this series on audiobook and maybe I missed something in previous books.

I've decided to not finish this one since I'm confused and I read that it ends in a cliff hanger and no other books in the series are planned.

The world without pleasure to be found . . . I don't think this kind of story is for me . . . too screwy or too something . . . But I'm easy! As long as the ending pleases me. . . No hard feeling, promise.
