Status Updates From Jonathan's Hope

As much as I hate to say it -because I'm thoroughtly enjoying it- this book will be in a hiatus for a while...

*cringes* awkward town. Especially the dialogue and the emotions. Unbelievable actions and feelings in scenarios and over-the-top intensity/reactions at times. Draggy inner monologue. Head hopping. I read longer than I normally would have because of the allure of hurt/comfort.

what do you do with a book where at 64% the author co´ncludes a chapter with the laconic words: after two hours .(no, I´m not telling!)....died. I´ve never been so shocked before in the middle of a novel! What a nerve!!! As you can see I read on.

Poignant and beautiful.

Lives well lived.

He admired Jonathan for having the courage to cope. Admired him for surviving. For loving. For Dan, he felt gratitude. Simple gratitude.

Too many crocodile tears and apologies do not excuse inaction. All adults in this tale with the exception of Dan should be deeply ashamed!

And to repeat myself. What?!!! This book is seriously messing with me!

Whaaaaat!!!!! Just got punched in the solar plexus. Need to put this down for a minute so I can catch my breath.

What a beautiful way to spend Christmas Eve.

Sean was a paralegal, Jonathan's dad is a lawyer they have cabins in the same area. I hope this doesn't go where my imagination is taking it.

Why do I feel uneasy about what happened to Sean?

Dan. He is as brittle as the icy landscape he lives in barely living yet unable to do anything but. Emotionally and literally isolated from the world. 3% in and already loving it.
