Did take me a little over a week to finish bc long & do struggle w actual reading. Def 5 stars in terms of quality… Azriel’s suicidal ideation & the way it was handled sold me on it I think. This is what black dagger brotherhood wished it was, this was nowhere near as ridiculous as that! And also prefer the fae bonds in this to the Maasverse… also less cringe/horny lol, but still had quite a bit of spice.

I’m so glad I found this series — normally not a huge fan of regency but I was searching for something w a similar dynamic to Arcadie (w angst & a protector hero) and this fit the bill.. extremely well-written, the characters are fleshed out and the twists made sense but were still exciting to read. And didn’t end on a cliffhanger (more so a tbc..) can read the rest on kindle unlimited which is great
