What children often call magic is sometimes simply what they cannot yet understand; as adults, we may call it coincidence when hope and reality happen to fall into perfect harmony.

This is one more book I missed as a child; I read it now to see what I missed. As an adult, it was too saccharine for me; as a child, I could believe it would have been very satisfying. There were a few times a potential crisis loomed, but it was quickly and sweetly resolved and the plot continued its happy way.
