The book was good. She talked about friendship and how you don't say you've won until you've won. Overall, the book was just satisfying.

When the teacher finally gets the class together, they learn about fractions & decimals. Then when Annika is done with her work sheet, her teacher calls her up and tells her about a sudoku contest.
