Perhaps it's just my own impatience, but I find it slightly annoying when a book promises me something, and then takes forever to actually get to it. I don't mind surprises, but when the description promises something and then drags before it gets there..

Like if I'm reading a murder mystery, just give me the murder already!!

I understand, I do, and the build is good, but... I need to be patient.
