Occams razor doesn’t mean simpler

I’m genuinely annoyed. Why tf are we pretending ufology and alien abductions are unsolved cases. There’s no way in hell you can argue that science and mythology are in any way comparable. This is stupid.

Finally, some juicy parts

I find some parts to be redundant. Wordy, maybe. I think it’s my fault for picking a book with philosophy in the title.

Unfortunately a lot of this section was taught in college biology so I’m bored. At some point the information is becoming too simplified. I want specific ideas not general facts.

There’s a lotttt of mention of religion but religion is a huge part of our culture. I hope we’re going in a pantheistic direction instead of a deistic direction. The author says he will talk about belief and I know it’s centering myself and “closed-minded” to expect a book to follow my beliefs but I don’t need more religious rhetoric after everything happening in this country rn.

The preface begins with such charming writing. I’m excited.
