This ending cries out to the sequel! No, not a cliffhanger, but some questions have to be answered!

...his swollen affairs

It is a very atmospheric name for a HARD-ON back in the 18th century.

One of those moments when I'm glad that a kindle is yet not able to transmit odours...

"There was a time that this place was filled with laughter and promises of love.”
“Love?” Pierre chuckled. “And here I thought it was filled with unanimous fucking.”
“You know what I mean.”
Hehe...The truth lies in the eyes of the beholder...

The plot is so thickening. Love the suspense. Quire unexpected. It's so much more hopeful, too.

I AM SLOW!
I wish I could read it in one night, because it is REALLY REALLY good, but my week is REALLY REALLY busy, and it makes me REALLY REALLY angry.
Don't force me to talk about the average rating this book has on GR. It makes me REALLY REALLY furious. This book is soooooo goooooood!...

I closed my eyes and prayed that we would make it out of this with our lives Such interesting turn of events. I love it. Still so hot, too.

You know what's been puzzling me? Why I love this so much, because really, it's not pretty.
I love that Thomas is a fighter, that he will stop at noting to survive.
I love that he can find pleasure and comfort in the most terrible circumstances.
And I think that's what makes this book not only bearable but even pleasurable to read.

"Thank you"[...]
"It is I who should thank you. That was a fine fuck, Mr.Newton."
A small talk in a jail house.
What can I say --> GENTLEMEN!

Oh... I did not expect that... O.o Let's see about Pierre.

This is so much true for this book:
I knew in part that I was not supposed to be enjoying this interplay, but I could not stop myself from being swept away by the anticipation of a fuck.
