Book would have been perfect but began to not care what the characters were feeling because every single musing that can possibly be was put into words. Too. Many. Words. Story good-Storytelling not so good. Up very late because story finally started moving near the end. Ack! don't know how to rate. Absolutely would love to see more books by author. Think I will rate both books as a whole after reading 2nd book.

Had this book for a long while now. I think this was a free book from somewhere. Still in first chapter and its very interesting. Its good so far.

Totally loving this slow burn desire. It's awesome.

I love this book so far. It's sooooooooo good. More players are coming in now and there is a prophecy that is starting to be fulfilled slowly. I don't mind the gradual build up . The overall pace is great .

This book is really magical.

" Honoured One, you frightened me . I was not aware of your presence."
Cyrna clasped her hands behind her back and continued to look at Arizona with an inquisitive expression.
" No, I would say that you were not. Mind already walking paths you feet have yet to meet?" the old woman asked.

Cyrna reminds me of Yoda. She is that voice of wisdom that is always magically appears at seemingly random times.

Every time Talliea and Arizona meet up and try to learn more about each other you learn equally about them and their cultures. I love that the author takes the time to build the world gradually. I like learning the little myths and the discussions they have about freedom of will. Its just well done.

" He wanted Talliea to want him as he wanted her. If he was aroused he knew it would make their joining all the more enjoyable for him. The possibility of that not happening angered him deeply. He did not know what else he could do to make her appreciate him."

The author gave us hope just a moment ago that Markahn could be decent and then he makes a statement like this. More men bashing? Am I going to change?

" He valued family. Though many of the men in the clan valued only their role and the luxuries provided, Markahn had always been partial to the sense of unity a family represented. Father mother, and child. It was important to him, though he rarely said as much among his fellow Lat'sa'val."

See now Markahn is seeming more like a progress male. I knew there could be a few good men in this book. He has potential.

There was an incident with Talliea and I feel like there was a bit of man bashing there. I feel like there have to be some sympathetic men in her tribe. Am I being naive?

I am still loving this story.

More of the myths about both species is coming to light. Its interesting . I love the wonder these two share about each other. Beautiful .

Oud main charcters just met. I'm interested in how they will overcome the language barrier.

This book is giving me a run for my money with these very creative fantasy names and words.
