Status Updates From Magic Rises (Kate Daniels, #6)

More than a decade out from the release of this book, and I'm finally thinking about why I love this book so much when some of my most trusted reading friends didn't. & I did love it. I HATE the pain Kate feels. Like, HATE. I'm devastated with her. Curran needs his ass kicked more each time I read it. But I'm beginning to have thoughts on why this may have worked better for me than some others.

Can someone please tell me if Derek is ever happy again? I’m really sad and it’s impacting my reading
