There’s a lot of head hopping in this book, even more than the last book.

I have to admit: that was a good twist. Marguerite is such a badass!

I wish this wasn’t going the “confront your abuser” route.

Unexpected meditation about faith.

"I can tell you want to give Marguerite happiness. But I want you to consider carefully that she may have found peace and sacrificed happiness for it. As I said, that may be the best she can do."

I really appreciate this line, especially given how this entire interaction with her old social worker is completely implausible and unethical. P.S. No one has old case files at home, especially when they're retired!!!
