There are many high res pictures of Degas works in this book, but they are very small, which is a pity.
As for the writing in this book, i don't really see any insights and fail to recognize the target audience. Degas' life wasn't full of stigma, he wasn't controversial in any way. But the author contextualizes the images in the book, which is nice.
If you're looking for a book of images, i don't think this is ideal

I’m finally able to pick this book up again and settle into reading about one of my favorite artists.
