Status Updates From Goblins (The X-Files)

3 chapters in and I’ve already laughed out loud twice at things Mulder has said. This is fantastic.

I realize this novel was written very early on in the life of the TV series, so I’m doing my best to forgive the writer for his inability to capture Mulder’s and Scully’s respective essences. The dialogue is rather cringe and, at times, it feels as though I’m reading about two completely different FBI Agents, not the beloved duo we know and love.
