Status Updates From Stories for Amanda

That Madeline Sheehan story was the best in the book so far with only two more stories to go. Seriously loved it. No surprise really though.

Some of these short stories are really good!

THE MARRIAGE CLAUSE: by Nikki Worrell Carrie was given her great uncles ranch. If after one year she didn't want it she could give the ranch 2 Colt & take the money. What her uncle didn't tell her was he wanted her 2 marry Colt. Colt was ever the gentlemanly cowboy & never pressured or rushed her & they ended up falling in love & getting married. They run the ranch 2gether just like her uncle wanted all along.

ROCK THE BEGINNING: by Michelle Valentine This is a prequel 2 the Black Falcon series. Lanie & Noel have been bff's since they were 5yrs old. Freshmen year is when they finally start 2 notice one another. They fall in love & can't be separated. His life is music & after high school he plans 2 hit the road 2 become famous. He wants Lanie 2 come w/him. But she wants 2 go 2 college. She breaks up w/him after graduation.

JUST BREATHE: by Madeline Sheehan A girl who was once popular is now being ridiculed after someone plays a trick on her. Her bf who bet his friends he could bang her then posted the proof online. Everyone called her slut afterward, the only person who saved her was the last person she expected. The outcast. Within one day he turned her life around & they found love. It's amazing what a little encouragement can do.

MORE THAN LIFE ITSELF: by Jessica Prince This one was cute. It was all about a guy trying 2 propose 2 his long time gf & things going completely wrong. Just from reading this little story I think I would like this series.

THE SQUALL by Alexa Nazzaro Idk, I didn't get this one. I know the girl was rather awkward & lonely. Like she had no social skills whatsoever & second guessed herself @ every opportunity. She's so reserved that she posts all the time on Craigslists missed connections, how sad is that. The writing was confusing 2, it used like 15 words when 7 would do, so I was lost thru out most of it. It didn't flow good 4 me sorry

JACOB & NOELLE by E. L. Montes On one hand I really liked this story. The 40's being one of my favorite eras, I probably would have enjoyed it even more if it were in movie form. It's mostly of them (Jacob & Noelle) writing letters back and forth 2 each other because Jacob is fighting in the war, Noelle is going 2 school & counting down the days till Jacob comes back 2 her. A HEA that makes me smile from ear 2 ear

PRICELESS- by Raine I've already been acquainted w/Gabby & Ivan, having read the Blackstone affairs. From this little short story I am quaking in my boots. It just started 2 get interesting when they cut it off right there, leaving me hanging! I'm definitely reading this spinoff, no doubt about it. I loved the Blackstone affairs & if Ivan is anything like he's cousin, he'll be able 2 make u wet from 50 paces away!

PIE LOVE U- by Nina Lane This story was cute, I liked it. A boy (Josh) going 2 college 4 his dad --who worked his whole life 2 send him 2 college-- & works in his dads shop baking pies. He wants 2b a chef but feels stuck. 1 of his BFF (penny) believes in him & has always got his back. It takes him a long time 2 realize he loves her. & that she's been in love w/him 4 a while 2. I'm looking 4ward 2 reading this series.

DEFYING THE DUST- by Karina Halle I read Sins & Needles a while ago & it still has a grip on me, even now. U know the kind of story that resonates deep down, the kind u'll never 4get? That's Sins & Needles 4 me, I can't even tell u how much I loved it! This short story is like icing on the cake --it can only make it better-- & anything that gives me more insight 2 Ellie & Camden's story I am all 4. This was perfect!

SAVING SNOWFLAKES- by Kailin Gow I tried 2 like this one, really I did. The girl -Sam- her story was intriguing. But there were parts where the writing confused me, I had 2 stop & reread some parts a few times b4 just skipping them completely. U couldn't get totally immersed in the story because of this. & I'm a little disappointed. I think the story would've been good had I been able 2 get past the writing.

BEAUTIFUL- by Kelly Elliott I liked this 1. The bullying was harsh, especially because the girl (Skylar) had been seriously violated & everyone used it against her. Shunning her like she was a dirty whore. Until one day a new boy came 2 town & didn't care what anyone said about her. He knew in his heart that she was the one. She's lucky 2 have finally found someone 2 show her the love she so desperately deserved.

LOVE IS BLIND- by Claire Contreras I liked this one. Well not the bullying part but the moral of the story hit home for me. Love is blind, it doesn't matter the color of ur skin or what preference u like. Love is love & everyone deserves 2b loved & accepted 4 who they are.

UNFORGETTABLE- by J.L Brooks Um idk about this story. I was quite a bit confused, I didn't know what was happening or who was who. U know that feeling when u start watching a movie --u've never seen b4, mind u-- from the middle? That's what this felt like. & I couldn't really get in2 the story because I didn't feel any sort of connection 2 the characters. Sorry but there it is. Moving on 2 the next one.

HOPING- by E.K Blair This story was about a girl who was ridiculed by her classmates after they found out her brother was gay. The brother was older & left 4 college b4 the rumor mill started leaving his sister 2 suffer the shit storm he left behind. After all the torment this girl was going thru she meets a boy who I'm assuming didn't care about what everyone was saying about her. I wanted 2 see where that lead.
