Status Updates From No Adam in Eden

Grace Metalious would probably rank as a peculiar author for someone like me, but with this novel I have essentially completed her oeuvre. She specialized in seedy and debauched small town characters, and got famous for her then-explosive Peyton Place.

It’s so interesting to see authors write clearly aroace characters, especially since this book was written in like the 1960’s? and they had no concept of it either, except that she has no worth if she does not marry a man
