Status Updates From World Without Children and ...

The Earth Quarter: Humans in space are refugees after their Earth Empire collapsed, and some live with the Niori planetin a ghetto, where competing political beliefs create conflict in the quarter. Quite elegiac.

World Without Children: The birthrate is zero due to people being able to live for thousands of years and fears of overpopulation. I'd say that this story doesn't quite age well due to its very retro gender politics for apparently being at least 300 years into the future, but it *is* an interesting look by Knight at the possible consequences of no new children, even if the real hero is not George in the end, LOL.
