We now are introduced to a Hollywood production filming a show while renown actors shadow the police department to familiarise with their characters. Dexter works with a Robert Chase, who subsequently likes him, and an actress Jackie Forest who creates a wedge between Dexters personal life. A killer called Patrick Bergmann obsesses over Jackie killing people who have any resemblance. Jackie falls in love with Dexter.
