Status Updates From The Scarecrow King

Perfect way to spend a lazy Christmas day - watching the old King Thrushbeard movie and then completely devouring one of its retellings for the rest of the day, only interrupted by eating.

I keep reading books with really unlikeable female leads. Anyway, Rina is an asshole not because she fucks with her father, the king, but because she’s shitty to the lower classes. Fingers crossed that she de-bitchifies throughout the next 20%.

This is such a true fairytale vibe. The main character is fun and witty if a bit spoiled. But her character growth is fun to read. I wish I knew the original tale this is based off of but either way really enjoying so far.
