Courage Runs Red is the second book. It's as young-ya and cheesy as the first, I'm giving it 1.5/5 - slightly better writing but the lines, argh, the lines! And it ends on the strangest attempt at a cliffhanger ever. The third book, Raven, was better written and not fully failing - I'd say 2/5. It gets cheesy, and it's much too long for its plot.

The order on the blurb doesn't match the order of books. Having no Table of Contents is a PITA, too. I just finished the first novel, Crush, and boy was it's a doozy of YA hormones. Simple plot with holes and character's who don't care about things they should, amateurish and very simple writing style. Not for me. At all. I can only hope some get better. If not, can't even finish it this for the challenge points. 1/5

More glass shattered, like rock candy(????), spraying us with shards as the windshield was shot out.
"We've got to get outta here! Some crazy person is shooting at us, and I've kinda got the feeling that aren't gonna stop until we're dead."
Perhaps a worthy assumption?

Crush by Chrissy Peebles - The first book is very young YA. Not horribly written but simplified and unrealistic, of course. Either way, who would stay at a party when they overhead someone saying they don't matter because they'd be dead by morning?!
