Das Buch lässt sich überraschend gut lesen, der Erzählstil fesselt und ist spannend. Es wird auch nicht übertrieben viel erklärt, sondern lernt das Worldbuilding nach und nach kennen. Die Charaktere sind soweit sympathisch, wenn auch nicht sehr tiefgründig.

Halfway through the first chapter I'm having a deja vu moment. I swear I have read this book before, but it doesn't show up as read in my book list. Maybe it was in a set other than the Fated Mates set? I'll keep reading and see if it really is the same book or just starts out the same way.
