Why We’re in Vietnam 5/5. Great story showing the horrors and trauma left by those who returned from Nam. Heavy but superbly written.

Blind Willie 5/5 story. Love how these are woven together and building off each short story. Very cool.

Hearts in Atlantis : 3.5/5 good story and look into life as a college student during the Vietnam war and protests just didn’t hit for me quite as much as Low Men.

Low Men in Yellow Coats:
In a strange way this feels to me like King's Twin Peaks. In Twin Peaks we get to see Lynch's death of the American dream. The slow dissolution of the idealist suburbia. Here we see that displayed through the incoming storm that is Vietnam. King's destruction of suburbia comes not from the death of a neighbor but from the death of your trust in them. Incredibly effecting and heartbreaking.
