I watched Daniel Rubin encouraging students to learn about particular problems mathematicians have tried to solve in the past, to learn the subject better. I hope this book will allow this.
Boy, was a stunned when Kline began to talk about superiority of the West. Actually, he is completely right if you know certain historical and cultural details. So I think some people are needlessly complaining about this.
