Status Updates From A Thousand Pardons

I have no idea why this read has felt so slow to me. Maybe it’s because the work itself captures a possibly real life scenario about a single mom just trying to move on and continue on with her life. Still i think we got to a point where im intrigued to know more

so far it seems like a slow read just bc i am still trying to grasp how the lives of each particular character either intertwines or not

Enjoying the book thus far…this line struck me as especially significant:
“That was what had first begun to exasperate him about Helen, way back when: she believed in him too blindly, she refused to see how he bore the weight of what he was capable of.”
