Status Updates From The Firefighter's New Famil...

This is a very dark story. I usually enjoy reading contemporary and also Love Inspired for lighter, uplifting stories. I am only finishing this one to find out how it resolves. Perhaps I should have read some reviews before choosing to read it. Most are not this dark though.

I want to like this book, but in the effort to keep the story approximately 220 pages, the author has taken us from a rescue with one of the parties briefly conscious & a short "just wanted to make sure you'll be okay & offer my help" visit to immediately having both main characters start worrying about not being ready for a romantic relationship if it should result. Seems like both need some reality and therapy.
