I’ve made it to the end of Volume 1 and never expected to enjoy this as much as I have. I can see parallels between Quixote and American nationalists who revere an imagined romanticised past, with violent & deluded results. However, I’m in it for the LOLs — of which there are many, along with the gorgeous side-jaunts into new stories narrated by folks he meets along the way.
