Pete and his teammates were getting ready for their game against Hanson High on Friday. Pete couldn't find his playbook and Pete thought that he would have to sit out against Hanson High. Through put the week Pete looked every he could...

Pete had finished the game and the coach told him he was built for those moments. After the game, Pete went to hang out with the people on his team. Pete thought that this was better than being out doing things he wasn't supposed to be doing with his old friends

Pete and Cartwright high are going against Meadow Cliff high. Coming into the game Pete had been shut down because the other team was keying on Pete. Pete had to find a way to help his team, so in the late 3rd quarter Pete had thought that they were now not worried about him anymore. Pete ended up making a run the would win the game.

After the game, everyone recognized him. Pete had played in an amazing game. Pete was starting to become very known at his schoo.

Pete is in the locker room getting ready for his first game. The game starts and Pete starts out on the bench but closer to the end of the first half Pete scores the first touchdown and has some amazing runs. Going into the second half Coach Wilson made a change to start Pete. Pete is shocked.

Pete is starting to distance himself from his old friends. Pete is starting to think football isn't too bad and he is actually enjoying it. Pete's first game is coming up as well.

Pete is getting ready for his first scrimmage. It starts out pretty smooth and then he is told that his blocking needs to be worked on. After crafting his skills some more the rest of the scrimmage he did well. At the lunch table the day after the scrimmage Jimbo and Pete get into it.

Pete's friends find out that Pete stayed the whole practice. Pete tries to play it off and act like he is not going to do it anymore, but can't. His coach gave Pete a Playbook because in a couple of days they are having a full scrimmage. Art Tracy told Pete if he doesn't remember some he would help him.

Pete ended up going to football practice and staying the whole time. His friends were in shock when they heard the news. Pete told them that the only reason he stayed is that so he wouldn't look like a jerk. I think Pete is lying and he is starting to like football.

Coach is making Pete play football for doing him such a favor. Coach Wilson thinks Pete can run the football. Pete shares the news with his friends they are all shocked.

Pete Holman had gotten in trouble and was surprised to see coach Wilson. Coach Wilson was the reason his mom didn't find him sitting in the police station. Coach Wilson was going to give him two things to do for him though...

Pete goes back to practice and its a full on contact practice. And he is realizing that the football players are way nicer than he thought and they are helping him.

Pete shows up to football, and it is surprisingly hard for him. He is ok at football but it is way harder than he expected. He wants to leave football but he doesn't want to be made fun of because he gave up.

The main character Pete gets caught joy riding and drinking. He was waiting in jail and then he saw the high school coach there. The coach made a deal with Pete, that if Pete played football, then he would sign Pete out of jail, and he wouldn't tell his parents.

This book turned out to have a happy ending. So Pete found out who stole his playbook. Jimbo confessed and everything turned out just fine for Pete

Pete has misplaced his playbook. He checked his locker, Buckys locker, and he still couldn't find it. So he goes home to look for but its not there.

Pete scored the winning touch down. Art invited him to his house with some of the other players.

At this point the offense is getting absolutely destroyed by their defense. Pete is not able to make big plays like the week before.

So far Allan Hollis has been the only person to score an touchdown. Pete is having a hard time running through the defense. He was trying to figure out why he cant get past the defenders and art said something that may him think Art was reading his mind.

Nothing really exciting has yet to happen so far. They went over the new plays, one was when Pete had to catch a bullet pass from Art. The other one was when he caught a shovel pass that he found was easier to catch

The coach asked Pete if he was on the team to stay. The next day they add in 2 new plays, that both include Pete. Jimbo gets mad and goes off on Pete.

They ended up winning the game with a score of 21-7. Pete had 2 touchdowns, after the game pete met officer stowell outside the locker room. His mom saw him talking to Jimbo and Bucky and she thought that he would want to hang with them but he didnt want to get into any trouble

pete went to his first pep rally. He had a lot of fun, but he goes home to get a snack before the game and realizes his mother is home. He automatically assumes that there is something because shes never off on friday but she switched shifts with somebody to watch him play.

Pete is finally starting to change his life around. Hes not hanging around with the negative people that he used to be around. He surrounds himself with members on the football team.

Pete was offered to go to battle of the bands with Art Tracy, and he told him he would go because he didnt want to hang with Jimbo. Then officer Stowell shows up at his house to give him a recap of the past week at practice. The officer told him that he was a natural, and pete liked the sound of that.

Pete finally experienced full contact. He thought that he did great on his very first play. So now hes starting to lose interests.
