and then to end the curse of killing 12 girls every year, he wants... ANOTHER death!

the curse thing makes no sense, Melantho explains it and Leto asks correctly why Poseidon would want deaths in retribution for more deaths. "Gods feed on the terror of mortals" - no they don't??? The Greek gods are an anthropomorphic mirror of humans, they're not malicious, capricious deities or demons?? "where there is no fear, there are no prayers" no???

the anachronisms are driving me insane, as is the lack of craft in the writing
