Status Updates From All-New X-Men, Vol. 1: Yest...

Cyclops vs Cyclops was incredible. I'm really liking villain Cyclops and the parallel pages of him and his younger self after the battle were a nice touch. Some of the full page spreads this volume have done are beautiful. My first issue with this volume comes during this fight however - both Cyclops' look far too similar so i struggled to tell who was who and had to flick back pages to make sense ruining immersion

3rd issue done - idk how it keeps managing to survive at 5 stars but it's happening. This issue is from bad-guy Cyclops' perspective showing the reader how he got to where he is today. Him and Magneto give me Obito and Madara vibes I love it. Slightly got into confusing territory with reference to events from previous comics but recovered well with both Cyclops and the reader understanding at the same time saving it

2nd issue read.
I honestly still cannot fault this. I'm surprised by how much I'm enjoying it. Whilst a slower issue in terms of action, it was necessary to bring the younger X-men to the future and the world building is immaculate. It's done well to catch the reader up on previous events so I don't feel lost whatsoever and we got to see Wolverine who I wasn't expecting. Looking like Cyclops vs Cyclops next issue
