“A woman should BE some man’s woman and DO what women are born and built to do—sleep with some man, rear his kids, and keep him reasonably happy while he does his fragment of the world’s work. They’re not really happy doing anything else.”

So, a 40-year-old man thinks he can get inside the head of an 18-year-old girl? Maybe that’s one of the reasons this novel is so boring.
