Finally trying to get through this book even though it’s our current nightmare and the worst at being escapism (but so good)

My only complaint is the sheer volume of rape and especially child rape. Some of what she wrote borders on prophetic, but I would hope with every ounce of my soul that even if the guardrails of society are obliterated, I would hope most men were not so vile and human nature not so cruel. But I guess I could see from Butler's point of, view, she might simply say, "It is."
