Status Updates From The Trees Beyond the Grass ...

This book annoys me more and more after every few chapters I read. The dialogue is so unrealistic and simply bad (or maybe it's just COle and Ann?) and the descriptions about the town that go on and on are simply useless. I like it when an author paints a picture with words, but I'm more interested in the characters and their lives than towns and goddamn bridges. The only reason I still keep going is good reviews.

This book has an interesting topic but the execution of the story rubs me the wrong way. Short chapters, multiple, sporadically changing POV's and characters I can't really relate to at this point. Right now I'm trying to decide weather to finish the book at all. Maybe I'll keep going till the halfway point and give up reading this still feels like dragging my feet through tar.

I thought this was supposed to be 'A Cole Mouzon Thriller'. So why is it that the crazy broad and the Fed are getting just as much-if not more-page time as Cole? And...still no boy nookie!? :-{
