Rime of the Ancient Mariner

The Three Graves really stood out in its tone, a fascinating reflection on the power of belief.
There are several really powerful odes to infants that unfortunately show the high mortality rates from the time.

The use of such beautiful imagery in these words is absolutely breathtaking, you walk in the woodlands and hear the streams bubbling as if you were there yourself.

I have noticed that this is the poetical works only and does not include the plays. Having said this, there is an excellent excerpt from "The Wanderings Of Cain". Coleridge uses extremely vivid imagery, especially in the religious themes, sometimes creating quite startling contrasts.

Being only familiar with 3 of the author's works so far, I decided to broaden my horizons. Within the earlier works, 3 poems stand out, namely The Raven, Epitaph on an infant and The Sigh. Although not as striking as Christabel or Rime Of The Ancient Mariner , I will be re-reading these over again.
