The beginning was kinda hard to get through but it’s slowly picking up

Though the time period is fascinating, the first two chapters felt a little clunky. The third one is smoothing out. It is also quite brutal, so be ready for a lot of death, decaying bodies, war, in both Jerusalem and Germania. Maybe because POVs in other books transfer from one to another, depending on the chapter, heating so many people's thoughts has become a sort of stumbling block and I have change my thinking
