Status Updates From Ovid in Love: Ovid's Amores

End of Book 1. It’s pretty good and much more accessible than I expected. There’s some elegies that I find funny but I’m not sure if they’re supposed to be - though the one about burning her hair off with a curling iron and having to wear a wig surely is. I liked Dipsas’ relationship advice in 1.8 and Ovid’s reaction, that was pretty funny.

I'm going to finish this for the sake of finishing it, but nothing in the 75 pages of poetry I've read has convinced me that this guy is anything but an abusive a-hole who thinks he's a great poet for the ages.

Seuraavaksi haukkuu kaikki vanhat akat jotka häntä voisivat kirjasta tuomita, asia ei ole kuulemma niin vakava. Sitten luetellaan kaikki paikat josta löytää (piirittää ja painostaa) nainen; forum, pylväiköt, circus. Nainen piilottaa halunsa, joten kannattaa olla painostava!
