Status Updates From March (March, #1)

One symbol that represents my book so far is the school bus because most colored people are still segregated off the bus.

Pages 1–35 are about John Lewis’s childhood and his chickens. I felt interested and a little sad. I liked how caring John was, but I didn’t like when the chickens were killed.

The overall idea of page 20-35 was focused on John Lewis childhood. It showed how he became more empathetic because of the family farm chickens. In which as a young boy he would practice his speaking skills to the chickens. In conclusion this made him closer to them unlocking his deeper understanding of having empathy towards something or someone, This was one thing that shaped him into the great protester he was.

What I think the most interesting thing about this setting so far is the amount of information that there telling us early on and it's just really interesting so far.
