I'm not sure a Rabbi will use the word 'God' in such sentences...
Also, I not quite clear yet on how orthodox/reformative they are. So things about the relationship and their families acceptance seems unrealistic to me.
But nevertheless, I'm still entertained and happy to read that they're managing to work things so far.

As frustrated as I usually am with the ‘miscommunication’ trope, at least this far up the storyline, it make sense.
I just read the scene with the challah- Seth realized he might wanna take the next step, while Eli decided to try getting over his crush.
I do wish they’ll just kiss and make up already, but this ‘complication’ is very realistic.
Pretty sure they will end up together at the end though 🥲

What are the odds that both main characters have a gay friend?! In such a small town/community?
Also, is it realistic that their (very religious Jewish) families are so accepting? I’m jealous, maybe I should arrange them to talk with my granddad 😉
But I do appreciate Micah’s monologue about labels and self understanding.

The age gap does annoy/worry me 😬
Also, I feel like their friendship (relationship?) will extend across some years before they take the next step. Maybe that’s for the best, so Eli won’t be as young.

I like how open minded and accepting Eli’s parents are. Didn’t particularly like Seth insisting that “sex and love should be connected” it sounds so condescending and conservative… well I know he’s a rabbi, I’m familiar with that sort of mindset. But still it bugs me to no end, coming from a book centered around a queer relationship. I do look for emotional connection in a relationship, but that not it.

You follow other readers whose judgment you learn to trust, and on occasion your trust may lead to disappointment. THIS IS NOT ONE OF THOSE TIMES> Thank You, Rohit! Walk with Me has got to be one of the easiest funniest reads I've had the pleasure to come upon in a long long time. So YES! In the words of Rohit, "So so so good!"

This is not quite what I expected, but it's awesome. Who knew Jewish weddings could be so....exotic?
