It's an interesting read so far, marred only slightly by what I feel was an unnecessary dependency on one writing style: starting sentences with the word 'that'. Perhaps it's just a quirk that is my personal pet peeve. After reading two sentences on the same page that had similar structures, I had to force myself on the compelling nature of the story, instead of the author's 'voice'.
