I am the reader I am these days because of Gene Wolfe and TBoTNS. I've since restrained myself from reading his other works, instead searching for something that can measure up to the man or evoke the same feelings. Nothing has. Nothing can, I'm afraid. Gene Wolfe is a singular genius not of genre fiction, but of literature.
