Status Updates From Purple Rising: Celebrating ...

Started from the beginning because I clearly did not absorb the information the first time. I'm trying to be more intentional this time.

It has occurred to me that despite having read the boom ten or so years ago, I've never seen any of the films or the stage adaptations. I'm going through The Alice Walker section of my library so I'll re-read the book first, then seek out the film versions. Seems like something I should see, "for the culture." As for this book, I'm really enjoying the layout and visual aspects of it, in addition to the interviews.

I guess I'm starting all my massive, weapon-sized books in January.
