Status Updates From One Hundred Years of Poetry...

I love children's poetry anthologies that aren't just full of children's poetry, if you get my drift. This collection is well compiled and includes the likes of E E Cummings, William Carlos Williams, Maja Angelou, and Walter de la Mare along with the requisite Shel Silverstein and A A Milne.

I like these ones now. I realize that there are different sections. (My bad). Some of them are very interesting, but I am getting a little irritated at the ones that are almost three pages long. Those poems seem to drag on and on. And eventually I lose interest.

The poems aren't too bad. But the poets are trying too hard now. The poems are losing they're appeal to me (the reader) in every way possible.

I have found some very good poems that I enjoy, this book is helping me a lot more now. I hope my decision won't be too hard.

I like some of the poems so far. But there are many of them that are too long. I also wish that the poems wouldn't be about frogs, boats and donkeys.
