“The militants spend all their time trying to program white people into giving them some money. "The man" has created a new type of Tom. They are willing to be anything, as long as they can be Black first. Black capitalists, Black imperialists, Black oppressors - anything, so long as it's Black first.” 104

the masculinist homophobia leaves a lot to b desired n is part of y this era can’t n shouldn’t “come back” . however i think his analysis of the neo colonial nature of negro america is apt esp in a post 2020 context where they’re only furthered their grip on the imagination of the black masses .

the tension between armed self defense n mainstream nonviolent direct action .
“People want to say that I preach violence. I preach a response to violence. Meet violence with violence. If you're minding your business and someone starts fucking with you, he's being violent, because he's infringing on your human rights. It's your responsibility to jump back at the muthafucka and make him back down or fight.”

White America outsources subjugation to the Negro in exchange for the semblance of control. This mechanism has created a new class of stewards whose sole purpose is to perpetuate a culture of policing that allows its overseers to ensure their station without having to expend their energy towards reinforcement.

So much theory can be surmised in the quote, "If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you." Negroes in position oversee negroes without position and whites oversee them all. You can shift the verbiage but the focal point never changes, whites on top.

Negro America, an emulation of White America, is too preoccupied with adopting and enforcing its own model of exclusivity to begin to deconstruct how the focal point of it's exclusionary identity is rooted in assimilation and the negros' percieved proximity to White America rather than societally recognized liberation.
