A horrified expression on the face of a mortician seems like an oxymoron to me.

Nothin quite like a drunk guy with a gun.. Also felt a 'Of Mice and Men' moment, nice touch.

Not thrilled with this one. On a goodreads book club. But I paid my three bucks on Kindle so I will finish it. If this is the "new" Southern lit, then I will stick with the old. Other than them staging it in Kentucky: a southern "mob" and some of the characters using a little incorrect grammar, it could be set in any locale. Reads like a bad romance novel, except instead of love scenes, hokey violence scenes.
