Status Updates From David

Imagine going to the funeral of a revered politician and accidentally pulling his arm off while trying to kiss his hand :P

David has painted some of his most famous works, dominated the French Academy of Art, and is becoming increasingly politicized. The French Revolution is getting started and I can't wait to read it :>

Already enjoying the insights into David's early inspirations. The whole first section sows the seeds for his later development: the writings on 'moral art' from philosophers like Diderot, the unearthing of Pompeii, his residency in Rome, etc. I'm really looking forward to when things really get going!
