Very smart heroine. Use a stranger's phone to call your bestie. You've been warned that villains will be tapping her phone in case you call. Now they can trace stranger's cell to find out what town you're in.

Heroine is amazed that hero knows how to ride a horse. I fail to see how this is amazing. Pleasantly surprising maybe but not amazing. Many people ride horses.

It is frowned upon for a singer (heroine) and her paladin (hero) to become romantically involved. How do they expect to prevent that when both must be together 24/7? And how would it have been handled if singer was married w/kids?

Um yes, good idea heroes. Give heroine back her cell phone. Ask her kindly not to use it to contact her best friend. Explain that best friend remains safe as long as no contact is made until villains use best friend to try and flush her out. Oh I promise heroes I promise! Lets go shopping! Seriously, why has no one thought of hiding best friend? Or destroying phone? Or packing more than 2 tshirts and jeans?

I love the dust storm descriptions! They really do come up out of nowhere... it makes me miss my home in Phoenix.

The beginning was a little quick. Would like to see a little more normality before we get into the action but not bad so far!
