this book is incredible and i’m so glad i didn’t dnf it. one of anne rice’s most annoying qualities is her incessant ability to go everywhere but to the point but here it rlly works in her favor! there’s also just a lot of qualities of this book that i LOVE (witches, stupid & irrational love, insanely long family lineage w severely disturbed dynamics, great worldbuilding) & i it very much appeals to me!
