this book is extremely boring for long segments, it is killing me

This book isn't the best for beginners. There's a long section of comparing schematics to roadmaps, which goes on for over a dozen pages in the beginning. It's an extremely boring read, though there's a lot of useful information after the introductory section.

This book would benefit from photographs of the components that are being referenced. I've been googling each component as it comes up, and it's been helpful.
