Status Updates From Beloved

So yes, I have read this book before, but it was under dictator w*ls*n and I absolutely hated it. So now is the time I decided to give it a shot right about four years later, and I can't buy this prose is beautiful

Those twenty-eight happy days were followed by eighteen years of disapproval and a solitary life. Then a few months of the sun-splashed life that the shadows holding hands on the road promised her… Was that the pattern? she wondered.
