this book is easier to read than the first because I already know the major characters and the setting. But what frustrates me is when something happens with Hawk and Lily doesn't ask him why he feels the need to do something. I know why. The author wants to string us along until later in the series for some big reveal. But if you loved someone and they acted weird, even criminal, wouldn't you ask them why?

Why do books always get good when my lunch break is ending? Got to a big reveal in this book, and I'm not really sure how I feel about it. More on that when I finish, I guess.

It's hard to decide how I feel about some things in these books. It's starting to annoy me a bit how much they're dragging out telling us anything about Kyosti.

Sometimes I have to concentrate to keep up with all the made up terms in this book, but I think it's worth it.

It's been a few months since I read the first one, so it's taking a bit for the characters to all click, but I'm getting there!
