Status Updates From Crown of Fire (Firebird, #3)

So far this book is holding up a lot better than the previous one to my expectations. Maybe it was just middle book syndrome.

I’m giving this whole series another chance. Odd that the first two books were written a year apart, the third 12 years later, and the fourth another 11 years on. I finally have a copy of the 4th and still looking for the 5th in print.

Our power went out for 3 hours this evening (strong thunderstorm and downed trees) so I ended up crocheting by booklight while listening to the audiobook of this. At 2x speed, I listened to somewhere over 5 hours worth of the book (11 chapters and 109 pages) without stopping. I guess that says something for the story that it kept me engaged the whole time. :)

I'm currently reading the 2015 edition paperback of Crown of Fire. Read this 2000 edition, one time, in the summer of 2000.
